In April 2019, the MFN hosted it’s annual conference in Madrid which marked the 25th anniversary of the MicroFinance Network.
It was an exceptional one where we invited all the founding members of the MFN and our guest speaker, Maria Otero, gave an insightful session on the history of how the MFN was formed. We celebrated the Silver Jubilee of the Network with dynamic discussions, especially surrounding the political and regulatory contexts that affect the work of microfinance institutions. We discussed the prospects to consider for leaders of these institutions as we step into the changing landscape of financial inclusion in 2020.
